JR design. Stainless Steel used in ours Bahtroom Accesories.

Stainless steel

For the manufacture of out bathroom accesories, uses the stainless steel AISI-304.

The different types of stainless steel alloys are based on iron, chromium, carbon and mainly nickel, molybdenum, manganese, silicon, titanium etc... Which confers a particular resistance to various types of corrosion.

There are ferritic stainless steel such as AISI-430, wich incorporate higher chromium content but reduce the amount of carbon, which, despite showing a high corrosion resistance are not recommended for sites with high industrial pollution and never for marine areas.

Our stainless steel AISI-304, is within the family of the austenitic type, which are the more commonly used. Incorporate nickel to its chemical composition. Have good corrosion resistance, good weldability, excellent formability, are hardened by precipitation, but are not affected by tempering.

The AISI-304, is used for home accesories, as well as outdoor advertising on bus shelters, airports and grocery carts, metal structures for buildings and pavilions, towers, ventilation tubes and diverse urban facilities.

Within the type austenitic stainless steels, the is also the AISI-316, wich differs from the 304 to incorporate molybdenum in its membership, which confers greater resistance to pitting corrosion and better perfomance against corrosion under tension. Is particularly suitable for areas outside coastal boats and in general contact with seawater.

However, despite its high corrosion resistance, we must not forget some basic rules for keeping the surface of stainless steel has a good presence free of contaminants or stains.

Stainless steel lipi enough with soap and water, then drying to the surface well to avoid contaminats such as particles are deposited the remains of soap or lime, which can cause stains on the surface, which sometimes may even feel the oxide the piece.

They should never be used rag of any kind, because many of them contain metals that contaminate the stainless steel, depositing small particles that eventually produce pores in the oxide component. Also, ig the piece is the mirror-glossy rag will scratch the surface.

If time is observed with spots or small stripes should be treated the surface with a fine metal polish or cleaner with a special stainless steel. Always applied with thin pieces of fabric, possibly cotton.
